Bringing in ELEMENTS of the earth into Fine Art
My “Elements” series is a creative blending of semi-precious stones and unique pieces of the earth with traditional fine art. I love finding and using things that were created by nature such as semi-precious stones and sea shells, using them in unique and creative ways.
“I’ve never seen anything like it” Is the biggest comment I get.
The semi-precious stones I use in my Elements series come from all over the world from various sources. Most of the stones I use have been collected throughout the year in order to work out my compositions and then incorporate them into my paintings.
Each semi-precious stone has individual properties generating energetically from the stone. The energy can be felt by wearing the stone, touching the stone and will fill your room where the art will hang.
I encourage people to touch the stones on the art to resonate with its properties. I include properties of the stones with the descriptions. Some stones are healing, energizing, loving, and calming. Some resonate with different chakras and evoke emotions.
I love working with and showcasing the unique beauty found in each semi-precious stone. I hope you enjoy these unique works as much as I enjoy creating them.
Sapphire: the stone for wisdom. Helps bring healing and mental healing. Calms nerves. Brings mental clarity. The sapphire activates the third eye and throat chakras which allows one to access a deeper level of consciousness to gain a better understanding of self. Sapphires can be used to increase self-motivation and discipline, as well as to bring about calm energies when the mind is busy.
Amethyst: From Morocco and Brazil: Treats insomnia, relives tension, helps overcome grief and loss, brings about spiritual awareness, constricting thinking and acting, good for skin, alleviates pain, lowers blood pressure, releases imbalances. Connects with spirituality and provides contentment. Clears the aura and relieves dysfunctional energy located within the body. Useful during meditation to promote and maintain a calm and peaceful state. Encourages sobriety, promotes sleep and combats headaches. Good for third eye chakra. Sign of Pisces, Virgo, Aquarius & Capricorn.
Agate: Protection, Strength, Harmony. Agate’s most noticeable properties overall are balancing yin/yang energy, courage, protection, healing, and calming. Agate is a stone of strength. It was used by the Ancients on the breastplates of armor to give warriors strength and make them victorious in battle. Energetically, it is considered to give strength in both battle and physically. Agate enhances creativity and strengthens the intellect, making it a beneficial stone for both students and artists. It is also known as a good luck stone. As a stone of harmony, one of the things agate does is balance yin/yang energy. Agate increases energy. However, because it is a grounding stone, it does not increase energy at all times, but rather enables bursts of energy as needed. In this way, agate is a conservation stone, and enhances longevity.
Wulfenite: is a stone of transformation, creativity and healing while connecting to the Earth feeling a stronger connection. Sense Wulfenite is a lead based crystal it can assist in the aid in the alchemy of personal development. It is also a powerful stone for healing past-life relationships and issues. Good for the base chakra and for grounding.
Vanadinite: Strongly associated with the element of fire. It is a powerful stone for creativity and boosts your energy. Aids you in becoming more focused on your tasks. It helps with clearing any blocks—especially ones impeding creativity. It is also a powerful sacral/root chakra stone that helps to strengthen and stimulate sexual energies. Energizes all of the lower chakras. Helps with breaking your fears and with soothing inflammation. Helps with inner stillness and invokes peace. Encourages you to prioritize your priorities at work and helps with the demands on your time. Helps with recourses and money. Helps to clarify your goals and develop your career.
